Well, actually LockPickGenerator is an extremely lame piece of coding (if you can actually call that) but remember that it’s 3 o’clock in the morning and I’ve already spent too much time on it! So just have a Coke and a smile and shut up! All right here’s what you gotta do:
1. First of all you’ll need two computers, one which you want to unprotect, and the other where you can run LockPickGenerator.
2. You’ll need a datafork editor or a program that lets you edit data forks like Super ResEdit, Norton DiskEditor, or HexEdit, etc...
3. So when you got all of these available run LockPick, and write down the number it generates for you!
4. Now convert that number to a hexadecimal number. (OOps did I forget to mention that you’ll need a calculator that does that?)
5. Open up LockPickGenerator with the Datafork editor, and find the following string “11 11 11”. Yes that’s “11 11 11” (without the quotation marks).
6. Now replace 11 11 11 with the number your calculator screen is showing (the hex version of what LockPick generated for you). WARNING!!!! If the hex number you have has only 4 digits (ie. 51EA) then you HAVE to replace 11 11 11 by 00 51 EA!!!! It is extremely important that the number you replace 11 11 11 with has 6 digits!
All right it’s my fault this is so complicated so here’s an example:
LockPick generated the number:72302
I converted that to hex, giving me: 1 1A 6E
But the number I enter in place of 11 11 11, HAS to be 01 1A 6E !!!!!!!!
That “0” there is of extreme importance!
7. Save your work in the Datafork editor, and run LockPickGenerator.
8. Taa - Taaaaam! A window should appear with a number on it.
9. Enter that number in LockPick (without the comma) and LockPick should start scanning the SCSI chain!
And that’s all folks! Your computer should now be unprotected!
Do me a favor and if you wanna spread this file around, don’t change anything in it!!! If you do decide to change it please send me a copy of it! If I get enough requests I just might develop LockPickGenerator to a more user friendly state of existence! You can reach me at prozaq@usa.net, or prozaq@hotmail.com.
Also I would not like some punk’s name instead of mine on the end of the file, if you know what I mean!!!!
